Only eight miles (14 km) north of Cancun across the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea, Isla Mujeres is home to the exclusive UNIK Resort.
HISTORY – LEGEND AND LORE The indigenous Maya of the Yucatan Peninsula were the first to experience the wonderful aura of Isla Mujeres. For them, the island was sacred, and they devoted themselves to the worship of Ixchel, the goddess the moon and of fertility. Today, UNIK’s guests can still visit the remains of her temple not far from the resort.
Their secluded temple would become known to the outside world in 1517, when the ship of Spanish conquistador Fernando Hernandez de Cordoba was blown off course and he and his men stumbled upon these hallowed shores. Seeing only women and structures filled with idols of female deities, he christened it “Isla Mujeres”, Spanish for “Isle of Women”. According to the legend, no men were around as they were all “out fishing”… |

JACUZZI SUITE (55 units)
The resort boasts lavishly designed and magnificently furnished Jacuzzi Suites, each with a terrace and outdoor Jacuzzi. These 825-square-foot (77 m2) suites provide guests with a separate bedroom, a sumptuous master bath and a spacious living room. The Master Bath is fitted with a double-sink marble topped vanity, whirlpool tub and separate shower. Amenities include a lighted make-up/shaving mirror, UNIK’s fine line of toiletries and plush robes and slippers.
TWO-BEDROOM SUITE (12 units)
Our luxurious ocean-view Two-Bedroom Suites include a sumptuous Jacuzzi terrace along with two bedrooms, one fitted with a king-size bed, the second with two double beds (or another king size bed)—each boasting a full bathroom with whirlpool tub, double-sink marble-topped vanity and separate shower. The living room leads to the ample terrace with an eating area, the Jacuzzi and a daybed. This beautifully furnished suite offers 1,152 square feet (107 m2) of space stocked with the finest amenities, including UNIK's specialty toiletries, plush robes and slippers, lighted make-up/shaving mirror and more.
MASTER SUITE (4 units)
The exquisite Master Suite features an extra large terrace with an outdoor living space, a Jacuzzi, eating area, chaise lounges and a daybed for soaking up the sun in private. Inside, guests will find a master bedroom with a king-size bed, a whirlpool bathtub, a separate shower and double-sink marble topped vanity, as well as its own sitting room. A larger living room leads to a dining room and a kitchenette, plus a half bath. The second bedroom boasts two double beds, its own whirlpool bathtub, separate shower and marble vanity. This beautifully furnished suite offers 1,826 square feet (170 m2) of space stocked with the finest amenities, including UNIK's specialty toiletries, plush robes and slippers, lighted make-up/shaving mirror and more.
PRESIDENTIAL SUITE three bedroom (1 unit)
The lavish three-bedroom Presidential Suite has an extra large terrace with a private plunge pool, four lounge beds, a daybed under a ramada, a living area and outdoor eating space with a bar—excellent for entertaining. The master bedroom boasts a king-size bed with whirlpool bath, double marble-topped vanity and separate shower, plus its own living area. The suite also has a studio, a dining area, kitchenette and guest bathroom. The second and third bedrooms have a king-size bed and two double beds, respectively, each with a full bathroom with whirlpool tub, double-sink marble-topped vanities and separate shower. This elegantly decorated suite offers 3,472 square feet (322 m2) of space stocked with the finest amenities, including UNIK's specialty toiletries, plush robes and slippers, lighted make-up/shaving mirror and more. |

A contemporary dining experience featuring an exquisite balance of dramatic tastes with regional and international presentations. BREEZE
Located pool side, this casual setting with sweeping views of the Caribbean is the perfect backdrop for an a la carte lunch of lobster or fresh catch-of-the-day. The exclusive wine cellar offers an extensive list of International and Mexican wines. The dinner menu presents Mediterranean-infused creations of local ingredients, fresh fish and our own live lobsters selected by the guests.

LA ISLA
Casual Mexican and American luncheon favorites accompanied by a variety of specialty drinks are served poolside by your butler.
TURQUOISE LUNCH
This richly-appointed Lounge features a beautiful wall to wall wine cellar and “La Cava” wine selection. Afternoons feature UNIK’s interpretation of High Tea with aromatic blends, fresh scones and tasty canapés. In the evening, guests enjoy mixed or straight-up cocktails or a snifter of fine brandy. Cigar aficionados can enjoy a variety of the world’s finest tabaccos.
BAR LA ISLA
A casual ambience creates an ideal setting for guests to enjoy cocktails with friends featuring a full service bar menu and specialty drinks.
AQUA
