The steam bath and its positive qualities already were kown in ancient Greece.
What is the steam bath:
It is a pleasant Turkish bath with a sauna similar effect. The temperature amounts here approx. 45 to 50 degrees at an atmospheric humidity of approx. 80 to 100%. The typical climate is reched by the production of oversaturated steam.
What happens with the body:
In the damp heat of the steam bath the temperature of the skin increases about 10 degrees, that one of the body about 1 to 2 degree. The change between heat and following cooling stimulates the circulation and the metabolism and cleans the skin and body fabric. The blood is thickened by sweating. To compensate this, water and with it metabolic waste products, heavy metals and illness substances are transfered out of the body fabric into the blood. They leave the body through the sweat glands and the kidneys.
