As the waves of the sea surf there are gentle and also deep feelings in the body. The LOMI LOMI is the wave which carries the body gently, it turns around itself, pleasantly pushes and for again and again and harmoniously reaches over the body paints.
What is exact actually a Lomi Lomi massage:

LOMI LOMI is a mixture of ritual, dance and body work which is practised by the wise Kahunas on Hawaii in the temple. LOMI means "pushes, kneads and rubs" but "with the velvet paws of a content cat touches" and describes a type of massage which arranges that total well-being which expresses the pleasurable "baby-steps" of our domestic cats also. Normally a meeting lasts for 2-3 hours. No clothes are needed for this whole body massage.
History:
The temple massage confessed as Lomi Lomi, was only practised by priestesses and priests in the old Hawaii as a transition ritual. It was an event which brought strength and joy, which was used for new beginnings, for important turning points in the life or before new phases of life.
The people Hawai'is attached great importance to the liberation of disturbing energies of the weekday. So one was massaged hours up to several days in the temple. The Hawai'i does not know a word for illness. He speaks about energy jams or energy mangle which we know also as hardenings or blockades. Its effect does not only confine itself to the body where it soothes pains, hardenings, energetic blockades and organic dysfunctions, goes them also deeply to the emotional area. Because our back is sore, the life often hurts. The old Hawai'ians knew around these things and developed from this a massage cure ceremony known as a temple style, the so-called LOMI LOMI massage.
LOMI LOMI brings bodies, mind and soul into harmony again. This leads to more natural zest for life, creative strength and in the end to a healthier more positive charisma.
Execution and effect of the LOMI LOMI massage:
To have experienced without it the LOMI LOMI is ever heavily to verbalise. Because one has the feeling "to come home".
Lomi Lomi takes place in a warm, pleasant atmosphere and is provided a soundtrack for with well sounding music. The body is put cream on and massaged agreeably with warm oil in which one do not massage only with the hands but also with the forearm. During the massage lower and lower strata of the body of stress tensenesses are freed. LOMI LOMI causes a process of the deep cleaning and the well-being. Blockades in the body as well as in the joints are solved.
Places which are particularl strained or blocked are treated so long until the energy can flow freely again. The back which is according to the Hawaiian tradition seat of the future gets special attention here. Much attention is also paid to the shoulders and hips which considers the Hawai'ians as doors to release around dammed energies from the body.
The body front is treated with gentle, careful movements. Here particularly in the belly room the past sits. Emotions, memories and injuries are stored here and are solved gently. Shoulders and hip are stretched, drawn and rocked until the body is quite soft again. Head and face are massaged gently. How also at other massages several meetings are needed for deep-seated processes of change.
