The cold season and the Christmas bakery have already started. Blaze of lights, gingerbread and chocolate belong to Christmas like Santa Claus and the Christ Child. The guilty conscience bothers us at every mouthful of the brown gold every year. However, chocolate is not only beneficial for our hips, but has also positive qualities on bodies and skin. Already the Aztecs knew the constitutional qualities and therefor they used it as currency.
Chocolate promotes the health
Chocolate and cocoa contain many Flavonoids, a cell protection substance which seems positive to heart vessels. Flavonoids are closely related to the vitamin C and in the plant kingdom far commonly. They are found in all vegetables. But also certain nuts and corn types contain these valuable substances. They are contained in red wine and tea as well.
Their main effect is the influence on the permeability of the vessel walls. The vitamin C effect can be increased by twentyfold by addition of Flavonoids. The healthy effect is proved scientifically. It was proved that the blood agglutinates less strong after a cocoa drink and one is so better protected against heart diseases.
Daily a cup of cocoa works wonders.
Chocolate shower for beautiful skin
Chocolate is not only constitutional, but also makes beautiful. But it`s a great pity- this cosmetic shall not be eaten but used only externally. The valuable cocoa butter is namely an ideal skin care product. Chocolate smooths little folds, donates humidity and is an ideal anti- aging product. It activates the cell renewal and increases the production of collagen and Elastin which provide more skin strength. Moreover, it is rich at calcium, vitamins, iron and Polyphenoles which have a skin protective effect. Chocolate strengthen, activates the skin circulation and conjures a rosy complexion.
External applications of chocolate have by the way the pleasant side-effect that they limit the ravenous appetite on sweet. This is comparable with the phenomenon if one stands the whole day at the oven and bakes sweet biscuits. Then there is no more hunger on this nibbles either.
A wonderful application of outside is the Hot Chocolate Treatment. Here the body is massaged after a thorough peeling with a warm mixture out of Sheabutter, almond oil and cocoa.
Recipes for the skin:
Coconut cream bath:
1 cup sweetens cream
1 cup of coconut milk
a couple of drop rose- or orange oil
Hand cream:
1 table spoon of cocoa butter
1 table spoon of almond oil
1 table spoon of lanolin
Warming everything together in the water bath, stirring in 1 tb vinegar at the end.
Recipe for the inner application:
Chocolate chilli milk
Ingredients
150 ml of a low-fat milk
1 tbsp of cocoa powder (unsweetened)
1 pinch red chilli
1 tbsp of honey
1 ts almond mush
50 g of whole milk yoghurt
Chocolate rasps
Preparation
Warming the milk and stirring in the cocoa powder with an egg-whisk. Chilli and honey also stir into the cocoa milk and let cool it in the refrigerator.
Later pouring the cold cocoa milk by a sieve and mashing with yoghurt and almond mush. At the end decorating with chocolate flakes.
