A lake, quiet and gentle is ahead of us, embedded in appearing mountains, turquoise, strong in its colour, as this of the gemstone. In the valley are the first heralds of spring, while the mountain peaks did not lost yet their winter dress. The sun lets sparkle the lake even more beautiful…
Approximately in this way, a painting would be describable. However, in front of us truly lies one of the most beautiful lakes in Austria, the Achensee. It extends long into the valley until towards the Karwendel and Rofan massif.
On the one hand, at the end of the quay is the small, original town Pertisau and right on the beach the 4-star superior hotel Fürtsenhaus am Achensee, completely restored in the 2005 and which belongs to the Travel Charme Hotels & Resorts.

The adjoining bar, which is located in the traditional tract, sprayed with strong red and subtle lighting a warm, romantic atmosphere. The small windows of former times, the old, curving staircase to the top and the open round fireplace in the middle of the room can only guess how the former sovereigns must have felt in these walls.
We are feeling very well already at the mere viewing and an inner peace is evident. But maybe are these, in the old walls hidden secrets, which cause this calm. Surely they could tell feature-length stories.
Here in the Travel Charm Fürstenhaus Achensee the time seems truly to be stopped. Service and courtesy of the staff are first-class like once, but underlined by more luxury and empathy.
Time will return to its original and relaxative effect, because to have time for himself and his family, and still in a perfectly celebrated and relaxed surrounding is the most precious, what exists.
The atmosphere in the whole house, but especially in appealing and spacious layout Puria Spa, contributes significantly to that one arrives completely at himself within a short time.
All employees in the house seem to have inside this basic idea, to handle time as something precious and to offer the guests as such. The warmth of the management family Altenberger is doing the rest. Time stands for luxury and luxury for the Travel Charm Achensee.

Impressed by the beauty of nature, we walk down calmly through the entire wellness area and enjoy large picture-windows, surrounded by warm yellow and orange tones on walls and other accessories and are in the midst of natural events. Each time, we are fascinated anew by this fabulous view.
Rest rooms are arranged differently. In the back water beds, in front stylish couches, almost directly above the lakeside, between large-scale terraced relax lounges, above which large orange lights floating, look like UFOs. And then there is a fireplace room with the for of us largest charisma and attraction. By the closeness to nature, one feels one with her and thus with itself in harmony.
Everything is in perfect scene and how one already determines, the color orange plays an important role. The main color of the Travel Charme hotels surfaces again and again and supplements ideally with the sand stone cloured floor and the dark, shiny wooden floor.
In the lower part is the sauna area, which leaves nothing to be desired and which is divided well of the rest of the spa area.
With large glass fronts to the spa area and already delimited to nature, there is a large movement room in which different courses taking place. Spinal gymnastics, Pilates, Qi Gong, up to meditation.
There is also a separate room with the latest cardio equipment. While my husband indulge in an extensive face treatment in the beauty area, I decide to meditation for making perfect the peace and balance.
A never before made experienc brings me the last inner peace and I almost fly to my scheduled treatment. I decided for a Thai yoga massage. In the specially equipped room with a futon mattress and Asian elements, at beginning I was asked by my therapist to sit down with her for a brief interview.
She clarifies me extensively what I will expecting the next 90 minutes. Very insightfully she finally begins the massage, which is not a traditional massage.
One is in clothing on the ground and is stretched with special handles. Here hands, feet, arms and legs of the therapist are applied. Already after a few minutes I have every confidence and can release completely what is tremendously well for my body. Because in a relaxed position the therapeutic stretchings achieve their full effect.
After 90 minutes, which how I think could start again, I feel loose, relaxed and a head bigger. My mind got the final touches to bliss. Back arrived in reality, my therapist leads me in the fireplace room. Here I`m allowed to relax with a nice cup of tea and a heated bolster and to enjoy the magnificent view.
Here I meet on my husband again, whose facial features effect softly and tranquilized. The remaining time until dinner we rave together by our made experiences and the competence of the beauty programs.
In Puria Spa one can choose on 2 floors and 17 treatment rooms from a varied range of treatments. The atmosphere is very realxed and treated is with the first-class products from Clarins and Thalgo. Tyrolean stone oil which is produced since the beginning at the Achensee, is also used.
After an extremely successful wellness day for us we ar going to our room for freshen up for dinner. We are accomodated in the Achensee suite with view to the Achensee and separate bedroom.
Friendly, fresh colors of carpets, curtains and seat elements are responsible for immediate well-being. Bright wood in modern design and sophisticated seat and cabinet elements provide for easy-going living.
After the day is already far advanced, our stomach mumblesa little bit. Fresh styled, we are pleased now to the dinner in the Laurentius. The starter takes place as a buffet, while the remaining courses be served.
The selection is very versatile and the atmosphere is very comfortable. Culinary one can not suspend anything. International cuisine with Austrian accents characterize the menu, which is very appealing. The guests are very mixed in a variety of ages.
Although the Travel Charme Achensee do not have a children's club, one meets quite many families here, which speaks once again for the warmth of the house. Almost every evening Mr. Altenberger walks around the tables and talks very courteously with his guests. In summer in the Laurentius the large terrace is also open. Thus, the lake is still a little bit closer.
The beautiful at food here at the hotel is: you can enjoy it the whole day and that already included in the room price. Breakfast buffet, afternoon snack, 4 - courses evening menu and during the day tea, juices, fruit and light snacks in Puria Spa.
Although one feels so infinitely comfortable here in the Travel Charme Achensee, one had also other reasons for visiting the Achensee. Because the area offers many activities and beauties of nature. Walking of course, cycling, water sports like kite surfing or paddling, canyoning and eventually golf.
In just 500 meters from the hotel is the 18-hole golf club Achensee which is very commended among golfers. With own, slightly faster golf cars one drives easily and without stress on the lush green. The Travel Charme Achensee offers interesting golf packages, also for the whole family.
In winter, in front of the house one of the largest networks of Austria's cross-country trails with 150 kilometer starts. Nordic Cruising, tobogganing, snow biking, snowshoeing, but also alpine skiing are possible.
Who is looking for a quieter place during the day and would like skiing, the Travel Charme Achensee is the best place. Christlum or destinations such as the Zillertal are reachable by car in less than 30 minutes.
