Luxury is a word which everybody defines differently. The one means time with the family, the other one a good meal and again other only absolute splendour. Luxury means translated literally waste. Here in The St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort in the south of Majorca between Portals Nous and Palma luxury gets however a completely own meaning - an easygoing luxury in a stylish ambiance without any eccentricity. An exclusive habitation, eating and relaxing like better it cannot be. By the proximity to Palma also ideal for an extended weekend. Gently splashes down the water next to us about several cascades, over us the noise of the awning before a steel-blue heaven... dream or reality... we lie on two of the numerous water-beds absolutley released and far away from the reality surrounded by protective walls so that lying is very pleasant also in winter. A 90-minute face treatment with high-quality La Prairie products is behind me wherof I guaranteed feed on the next days, too. My face skin is nursed tightly and any stress of the last weeks has disappeared. The Spanish beautician, already her name "Montserrat" sounds promising, was very sensitively and masters her handcraft truthfully. My husband next to me seems still to be on cloud seven, hardly responsively he tells me how wonderfully his Thalasso therapist has given therapy to him with peeling, Thalasso bath, mud and following massage. All the back problems seem as blown away. What impressed him, however, most was the technical knowledge of the nice Spaniard.
The St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort has Europe's biggest Spa area, the Arabella Spa. With its 4,700 sqm it forms a symbiosis from Far Eastern and western, also traditional and modern knowledge. Althea, the healing goddess of the antiquity and Saphira, the goddess of the beauty show here the way to new life energy. Different saunas and steam baths rank themselves around the great round Solepool, waterlilies decorate the columns, Egyptian architecture makes this area unique and it gets an almost mystical touch by the warm lighting effects. An inside and outer pool invites to swimming, reserved only for the Spa visitors. Because the complete area is divided off from the other garden and pool plants. The guests have a choice of 10 treatment rooms with the most different applications. The main focus, however, is on Ayurveda, Thalasso and traditional Chinese medicine. Not mass but class is the motto in The St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort. The probably widest spectrum offers here the Thalassotherapy. But also the centre for traditional Chinese medicine offers everything from master hand. The packages worked out especially can be recommended.
After our excellent timeout in the Spa we want finally to get to know the real hotel now. So we go onto our room, one of 133, for changing clothes. around us from. Although it would be also possible to walk the house in the bath coat during the day without getting full of unpleasant looks. Our room offers by far more than all conceivable comfort. The spaciousness of our double room is excellent, equipped very tastefully with warm tones and noble wooden and leather furniture. A lovingly arranged little dressing table and numerous mirrors make the room perfect. A modern Sound system of Bang&Olufsen with DVD and CD system is here just as of course like the choice of different high-quality cushions and bed sheets. Even in the bathroom Television freaks find their great pleasure. In addition, the complete light interior also curtains can be controled electronically from the bed. Whom these 65 sqm are not enough, which finds his highlight certainly on the secluded balcony with a magnificent vision on the open sea.
Wrapped in new clothes we go to reconnaissance. Our room is located in one of the side wings so that we must go a little to the main building, not a real distance. Equipped with lift and with ancient decoration objects the way makes itself to an excellent change. The hotel complex is laid out so spaciously so that 180 sqm of area are at every guest's disposal even at total occupation. The lobby reminds of a Spanish town palace. The first look glides on the arcade corridors and the artistically forged candleholder which conveys an even more impressive splendour to the lobby with its immense calibre.
Simple modern elegance and works of local artists catch at first go. Just besides is the Es Vent bar in which one can enjoy coffee and cake during the day, also in the evening Bellinis and similar. Always with a view of the spacious and well-tended garden and the deep blue sea. The day finishes eased at mild temperatures on the appearing couch ensembles on the broad terrace. The element obstructed well most is marble in all conceivable variants whether dull or shiny. Its myriad of features is unique and it shows itself in The St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort in its completion.
The gardens have a child pool with neighbouring child club and a playground for children as of 3 year and a pool laid out over several levels.
There are three main reasons, to visit the Maradvall: these are on the one hand the first-class Spa area, on the other hand the much praised meal and at least magnificent 18 hole golf courses.
Two restaurants are available in The St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort. The AQUA, a brasserie in which is a casual atmosphere and is offered a Spa life and beauty cuisine. Here takes place also the substantial breakfast sideboard. Alone the choice of milk is legendary: Whole milk, skimmed milk, soy milk, rice milk, goats or sheep milk.
The gourmet restaurant Es fum sprays romanticism, everything is wrapped in gentle warm light and the waiters proffer unusual from an Asian and Mediterranean cooking in the evening. We decide us for the 10 course Tapas Menue. Small things caused creatively accompany us at pleasant atmosphere for 4 hours. The service could not be better.
Who is looking for still more change in the area of culinary art of dining this one has the possibility to experience the dinner Around. The two nurse hotels, Arabella Sheraton Golf hotel Son Vida with his known Michelin star restaurant, "Plat D ' Or" or the "Foravila" and the hotel Castillo Son Vida with its first-class restaurant Es Castell- all around view at Palma included and the restaurant Es Vi with a legendary choice of excellent wines over 800 at the number. One can reach all these restaurants with a hotel own shuttle service.

Not least Golfers feel here like in the paradise. Three 18 hole golf courses, Son Vida, Son Quint and Son Muntaner impress with their marvellous nature and are charming both for beginners and for top players. Of course a shuttle is available and hotel guests receive a Green fee reduction.
The St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort is a real enrichment for Majorca, away from cheap tourism and "Ballermann" one experiences timeless elegance and the true luxury in The St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort.
Whether in winter at springlike temperatures, in spring to the almond counterfeit bill or also in summer it is always worth for a journey. Even at rainy weather The St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort sprays true feelings of happiness.
Many a time we heard about the alleged stiffness and unpersonality of The St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort-for us complete nonsense.
The staff and the atmosphere are warm-hearted and excellent. Etiquette and exaggerated snobbishness- no sign of it!
