Croatia is after European scale no big country, even more surprises the large number of national parks. Splendidly constructed motorways and convenient flight connections from known European cities provide for an uncomplicated journey to the most beautiful nature-
here where the sea is even clearer and greener- here, where the middle sea coast is the most beautiful. Because nowhere else in the Mediterranean Sea are so many islands and numerous isolated bays.
Only three hour's drives south of Zagreb lies the city Zadar whose origin reaches up to the 9th century before Christ. Characterized by numerous peoples and epochs Zadar sprays today an irresistible Mediterranean flair. The situation of the seaport Zadar offers numerous excursion possibilities. Zadar is the best starting point to get to know the most important beauties of nature of Croatia because no other town in Croatia is strategically so favourably. Six national parks are located in an immediate proximity.

The Velebit mountains, greatest Croatian massif, was declared to the world reservation of the biosphere reason for its unusual great variety of plants and species of animals.
The Kornati, the tallest archipelago of the Mediterranean Sea with about 140 uninhabited islands.
Or the most beautiful and best known Croatian national park "Plitvitzer seas" is part of the world natural heritage of the Unesco. Its unusual feature are the 16 little lakes which are connected with each other by waterfalls.
Once again the Falkensteiner hotel group has chosen a quite special place for one of its hotels.
On the edge of Zadar, complete away from the hustle and bustle of the town lies the family club Funimation Borik in a small sand bay. In the winter months it is rather leisurely here and the mild climate and a Spa area of the superlatives lure relaxation seekers. In the summer months the Funimation is a Club which is visited mainly by families from Germany, Austria and Croatia to spend their holidays with a lot of fun and action. But also for boat owners the Funimation is the ideal anchorage because the port is only a few steps away.
The entire complex consists of 2 hotels. The real Funimation with 258 rooms and the little cuddly Adriana Select with only 48 junior suites. The Funimation is a All-inclusive club, the Adriana however is to book only with half-board. Who rather loves the quiet, should decide in summer for the Adriana. Of course the guests of the Adriana can use all facilities of the club in equal measure with the exception of the restaurant area. The Adriana whose main building formerly was a stable, was restored lovingly and has a quite special charm. Big pines illuminated by torchlight and English gardens make the dinner to a stylish and romantic event.
In the Funimation however, there are the most different room types, the most generous ones are the family Royale rooms and the four President suites for special claims. Because here one finds sauna, steam bath and roof pool of its own. The family Royale rooms e.g. are equipped with much bright wood, extensive living room and space-saving sliding doors. An extra room with wooden bunk beds for the children, a bathroom with shower and bathtub and a big balcony with a magnificent view to the bay make the room perfect for a stay with the whole family.
Everywhere in the hotel modern decoration objects, like palm pots, thick bamboo poles, big vases and furniture made of banana leaf are set in scene. Primarily the lobby area with its adjacent bar is designed very tasteful.
The Funimation is on a big area amongst old pine tree population, which provides for sufficient shade. In the garden there are 3 pools, which offer a lot of space for swimming and splashing around, a spiral water slide gives children the ultimative fun factor. A pool with an inside and outside area makes the bathing possible also within the colder months because of its pleasant water temperature of 29°. If the children do not go for pool or like that, the Falkyland, the child club of its own looks forward to the "kiddys" from 3 to 14 years. Another programme takes place every day. For the smallest an attached outer child pool is available.
The sports program is very extensive as is right and proper for a club of this size. A physical fitness room with modern Technogym equipment, 4 clay courts which are free of charge for the hotel guests. Coaching sessions, groups and individual courses, both for children and adults are adopted enthusiastically. Also one meets again and again smaller tennis groups. Physical fitness courses like e.g. Tae Bo, aerobics and water keep fit are available at the most different times of day to the high season.
The water sport centre which is located directly at the hotel offers the most different water activities. Canoes, pedalo boats, water-ski, bananaboat, Parasailing, catamaran sailing, windsurfing and there are also Blubbermaker diving courses for children in the pool as of 8 year. Whom this is not enough can play football or can exploit himself on the beach volleyball field.
For Croatia unique is the already repeatedly awarded as the biggest and most beautiful excellent Spa area, the Acquapura Spa. On an area of 2000 sqm with 16 treatment rooms and 12 employees the most different treatments were offered in the time from 10 p.m. to 9 a.m. Bathing applications, massages like Hot Stone or Tuina Energy, Vichy Shower with saltwater directly from the Mediterranean Sea and other face and body treatments. The complete Spa area is laid out extremely generously and diversion is here at first place. Everywhere as far as the eye can see, relax couches and lounge corners. In the room "Lemon" are stylish basketwork couches with look to the open or on the big flat screen TV. In the vital lounge numerous niches with comfortable couches and everyone with look to outside string together Every niche is divided off with easily transparent, fluent substances. At all many substances in warm colours are used expertly as decoration, whether as Paravant or as ceiling decoration in wavy lines. In the sauna area again white chilling corners and water-beds for relaxation. The sauna area does not leave any wishes unfulfilled as well. Steam bath, Finnish sauna, cold water channel, ice showers and an outside area with Whirlpool and numerous couches.

The therapists are qualitatively very good, at the massages the necessary pressure is used expertly and is taken account on certain acupuncture points. Not for nothing the Acquapura Spa did not receive various awards.

The Funimation Borik is a club where everybody can feel well. Depending on season the guest expects other atmospheres and offers.
Also for company events and incentive vacation the Funimation offers the fitting frame. Three conference halls for up to 350 persons and a suitable additional programme allow all sorts of events.
