The Spa hotel Auerhahn directly at the bank of the "Schluchsee" in the beautiful Black Forest is a "truthful" Spa hotel. Here one experience Spa in his top form. Here is Spa not only a trend but a life attitude. The married couple Thoma which successfully conducts the Auerhahn now already since 1993 focus on 4 columns at this: Nutrition, movement, diversion and positive thoughts.
The Schluchsee is one of the cleanest swimming lakes for years and offers innumerable activities: Sailing and surfing, fishing and swimming, marvellous walking possibilities and 7 golf courses are accessible in less than one hour. Miles long ski runs of the Feldberg area can be reached within only 15 minutes.
When entering the lobby we are welcomed with a discreet twitter of birds out of the loudspeaker. So arriving and switching off edge down. The Spa concept is extremely coherent in the complete house and the reference to the Black Forest is considerably recognizable in every area. Cute wood carvings and fire cone decorations get put prominent, but not obtrusively into scene.
Our suite is established extremely generously and comfortably. Alone already the 2 baths, one with whirl bathtub, the gigantic living room and a magnificent view to the automn Schluchsee surely make our stay perfect.
Altogether, the hotel has 62 rooms and suites. The latest in the sector of accommodation is the so-called emotion suite. The "room for all senses" was designed of Villeroy & Boch together with Swarovski. Tasteful wooden floor, warm accents, noble substances in a deep red fulfill the desire for secret dreams. Furthermore a private sauna and a whirl bathtub standing open in the room make the suite to a special experience.
Nothing is to add to the " column nutrition" and there is nothing to find fault.
It is due to the fact that the owners have a healer training that spa is really in the kitchen, namely from A- Z. The bread is made from regional bio corn, the grain is even ground shortly before the dough production to avoid vitamin loss. The food is sweetened exclusively with full cane sugar, honey and pears or apple thick juice. High-quality Himalaya crystal salt is used for seasoning. And the complete drinking water is increased with the Nanotechnology.
It is proved in the Auerhahn that a healthy meal is not for debits of the indulgence.
And the beautiful is, one can feast here the whole day within the Aha Inclusive catering. If vegetarian or also with meat. One is sure: It is healthy and exquisite in every case.
The breakfast sideboard is very wide and served with many fresh fruits in various variants. Even a small glass of elder sparkling wine does not speak against the Spa thought.
There is a vigorous Lunchbuffet from 13 to 16 h in the restaurant "Tannenzäpfle" with a lot of fresh salads and high-quality oils. Freshly baked cake and coffee round off the lunch. Also here the Thoma family attach importance to that the organism gets enough bitters which is no more quite usual but extremely healthy. So there are vegetables, like radicchio and chicory with many bitters. A nutrition in which the body is brought in a balanced acid and base household plays a large role in the Auerhahn.
There are excellent menus on stars niveau in the evening. If in royally elegant atmosphere or in comfortably rustic: Here one likes to spend his purification cure.
The hotel Auerhahn or rather the owner family Thoma has regognized the exact meaning of Wellness.
We could not find any deficits in the complete house. Spa is really lived here.
So two cosmetics lines of one's own arose.
Every year fresh sprucewood tops are reaped in the woods of the Black Forest for the tightening, vitalizing and purifying spruceneedle cosmetic.
So the guest has the possibility of spoiling himself with products directly at the origin.
We feel us really royal at the treatment "Spruce Royal". Pulverized sprucewood needles and local boiling pan salt free our skin from unnecessary ballast. An spruce needle oil- scented bath stimulates our senses and nurses our skin. At the following whole body massage we fly mentally to heaven. The skin is rosily soft and soft like a dabber.
The 15 rooms in the Spa area are lovingly decorated and have a genuine reference for the respective treatments. Small wood gnomes on the ground and hidden gnomes on the wall painting watch us secretly.
To dip into a secret wood- and meadow world is possible at the new elder flower cosmetics line. The high-quality, steam distilled ethereal oils and other ingredients of the elder have a special skin purifiying and skin tightening effect.
Also classic applications, Thalasso, Ayurveda and Cosmo treatments with colours, sounds and precious stones are on the programme.
The complete Spa area does not leave any wishes unfulfilled. Swimming or water keep fit in the freshwater pool with countercurrent system, relaxing in the 30° C sole grotto or sweating in the generous sauna world.
Already at 8:15 h in the morning the Spa active programme starts daily with water keep fit in the bathing world and ends at 17:15h with a special sauna Aufguss.
Our 3 days stay was perfect we can recommend the Spa hotel Auerhahn to everybody who is looking for a true Spa hotel with all its components.
